Reverend Virginia Marie Rincón serves as a sacred officiant and celebrant for weddings, births, home blessings, celebration of life and funeral rites. LGBTQ-friendly and inclusive of all spiritualities. Your ceremony is your own. She brings a diverse background to draw on, including being an Episcopal priest and traditional curandera. Rincon's grandmother, María Nestora, was her first maestra. She would greet her after school with a taquito or a bit of pan dulce, and use a broom made out of herbs to brush and clear away the day's inequities. Through her loving example, Rincon learned about the necessity and benefits of spiritual healing in the world. After 20 years as a nurse in the public sector, they went on to receive their BLS in Social Work from St. Edward's University in Austin, TX. In 1997, she received her Master's in Divinity from The Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, MA and was ordained as an Episcopal Priest in 2003. Their years in ministry focused on liberation, spirituality, and the healing of mind, body, and soul; and went on to found Tengo Voz, a nonprofit dedicated to the empowerment and leadership of Latina women in Maine. Later she returned to the path her grandmother initially prepared her for, as a curandera. Her spirituality encompasses all faiths. She lives and works in Los Angeles, California and feels most whole when she supports people on their spiritual path.
